Selling peppers??

Hi, I am considering selling some of my peppers but I have no idea how much is a decent price to ask....

Most of my peppers are Trinidad scorpions but I don't want to ask for too much or too little. The country I am in they are not available in stores or anything like that soooooo.....

Thanks all

I started growing habañero in the early 90's when the hottest available in stores or anywhere else was jalapeño. I grew about a quarter acre and sold them to local produce markets. I don't have the foggiest idea how much I sold them for but I do know there was a good demand because they were unique.

They were much different than the tamed and neutered grocery store habañero found these days.

I live in the USA, without knowing your local produce prices it would be hard to judge.  Here is what I do, all the local Groceries in my area sell the standard "Orange Habanero" for $3.99lb  so I sell my different varieties of Habanero peppers fr $5lb simply because I grow them organically and I pick the at ripe stage so they are at the peak of heat and flavor.  For Superhots I sell them for $8lb because I dont want to price myself to high but they deserve a premium price also.

So if your local Grocery sells any type of Hot Peppers at all its just a good way to gauge what to price them at.

cheers and good luck!
