I don't think they are mature pods. They are supposed to look like this:

Well, as I say, I'm not really fussed about growing these. I have two different Reapers, two future challengers and something secret in my window box already. I just want to be among the first tasters to get an idea of what it's actually like.
I guess those pods might not be fully representative of the strain, though.
 
Neil Price just mentioned to me that he has been "telling" people its a 7pot Infinity cross.
 
Says he'll send out pods for review at the end of the season.
 
I'm keeping an open mind about this pepper beating the Reaper regardless of the funky press.
 
I've had plenty of pods hotter than Reapers. It should be no surprise if this is real IMO

I knew about one he had been working on for a while, the hp56 death strain, but he said he would not release it unless the record was broken by someone else first. That leads me to think that this dragons breath pepper might be the real deal.

Then there is primos Louisiana creeper. I'm sure if the title is up for grabs, he will put his best foot forward.

My fingers are crossed for Chocolate Bhutlah SM.  I figure since Standandfire and Puckerbutt are working together, the announcement might be about Standandfire's pepper.  Nothing against Mr. Curry.  Just that he got it last time so I am rooting for Standandfire.
 
BTW: With official announcements of attempts at this title, I really think it is getting weird.  Around these parts, we call that fixing on getting ready to start.

What varieties would they be? Just out of interest..

Would be cool to see the record beaten, just because it's been a while.
