Looks like I got screwed over, what do you think?

So I was sold some Carolina Reaper seeds last year from a supposedly reputable dealer online. As you can see the pods don't seem to resemble what I've seen other young reaper pods to look like. They have a relatively smooth skin and no sharp stinger. If you agree that they aren't reapers, any idea what they might be? Pretty sure they are chinense but that doesn't help much. Are these the first formed pods of the season? If so wait for the 2nd round of peppers to see if they are closer to true pheno shape,.

I've had Reapers like that. Just as previously said, first pods are sometimes different pheno. Wait till it ripens, you'll know if its reaper.

Thank you for giving me hope everyone, this is my oldest plant and the one I have waited the longest to harvest. Last year was my first year growing and this plant didn't produce any pods so I over wintered it. There aren't enough pods on this plant currently to see more than one per node, but there are several nodes with more than one flower on them.

It was received as Borg 9 Chocolate but if you look at pods in the lower right it ended up a mustard color.

Update: Here is a nearly ripe pod.... definitely think its is a cross or something, not a reaper. Should at least be red right? Oh well, lesson learned I guess. Need to buy reaper seeds from someone even more reputable and trustworthy.

Update: I've contacted the seller and he says he thinks somehow I got a chocolute moruga scorpion seed mixed in with the reapers, not sure I want to risk planting the other seeds I saved from that batch. Still got a super hot from the deal though. I'll have to try it soon.

Update: I ate one of the pods this morning, definitely not a moruga scorpion. If I had to guess the SHU based on recent experiences I would put it between 60,000 to 100,000... not nearly as hot as the chocolate habanero I ate yesterday. I guess it will remain a mystery pepper...
