Is this normal for MOAs?

My MOA all have the wrinkled leaves as well:

I found a older thread here about MOAs and they looked similar to mine. I only have 2 of them and one is doing poorly so i had to ask. They look nothing like the Beni Highland or 7 Pot leaves which are both pretty smooth. Its most noticeable on younger leaves and appears to get "better" as new leaves grow over the older leaves. Eventually the lower leaves look really close to "normal".

One thing im sure of is mine do not like too many cool 60F nights and seem to love 90F days.

No love for the "TFM," Sim? ;) (my personal favorite!)

I  have one in a container grow Mike ( i try never to overlook a good thing ) ;) i remember you saying the ones you grew had good flavour.
That moa pod is something quite special buddy.

Throwing in my two cents.  If the older leaves are crinkly and the new ones are looking good...suggests to me that whatever issue there was (over fert, under fert, too much rain) has been sorted out by the more mature plant.

Well besides having odd leaves its growing like mad now. It even has a pod.

The one i rescued from the coco is starting to make a comeback. Its small but looks better including some blooms. It too has these odd leaves and the nutrients have been completely different.

Leaves are still a bit more wrinkled than appears normal but otherwise they are doing fine. The runt i transplanted even has a pod or two but its still rather tiny. The peppers do look "gnarly" though. :D
