Peppadew?

I was given a plant labeled peppadew pepper. From what I understand that's a fairly uncommon strain, of which I know nothing. I have noticed that this particular plant has a unique flower, none of my other varieties look this way. The small pods that have set in are all pointed upward, much like a birds-eye or the like. Can anyone shed some light on the peppadew pepper, and/or whatever it is I may have growing here?

Thank you greatly!

That blossom coloring is typical of a capsicum baccatum. More likely a "malawi piquante" as peppadew are heavily trademarked and not available supposedly.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing hogleg ... I should've known, I swear I've seen this video before on YT. I enjoy Bill's reviews. Can't wait to try these when they ripen up. Beautiful plant, fast growing, and my wife should be able to handle the heat, which is a bonus for me :)

search the forum, you wil find a thread about it that i started. It's a well known pepper here in south africa. Sold in a jar pickled. It's a malawi piquante pepper, the name peppedew is just a trademarked brand name. Read the thread i started.
