Pubes, mutants, and ripening

Mini Rocoto doing great, but it seems to hate the heat. We get a cool day, it puts out 15 flowers, then the next day they drop.

One pod so far!

Habaneros look like they've got tails, might have ended up with something a little hotter than what I was looking for.

This guy looks like he's had some developmental issues.

Here's the other rocoto I'm growing, same problem as the first but seems to put out flowers every night and during the day they all drop. Hopefully later this year they'll do a little better when it begins to cool down!

Turns out what I thought was Bhut orange copenhagen is actually caramel bhut. Going to burn like hell nonetheless

I don't know what this is, but it looks tasty.

One of them fell off, cut it open and checked it out, it's filled with these weird polyps. Checked another pod off the plant, it was fine. I wonder what these are?

Take it easy everyone.

Hey Mang, get those pubes out of the sun and the flowers should set.

Try and put them where they get only a hour or two of early morning sun for a week and see what happens.

ohhh Capsicum pubescens!

Pubescence is also a term for trichomes or "plant hairs" so I was expecting a post about a really hairy pepper!

Definately NOT looking for pictures of y'alls pubic hairs

Looking great. The one you don't know what it is, kinda looks like a Red Savina.

Thanks Bhuter! Now that you mention it, it really does.

that "habanero" looks like a Butch T btw.

nice looking peppers!
Thanks man! I ate it today with a couple baked potatoes, lit me up good.
It does, I grew them at some point so maybe it's a mislabel. I was so excited for plain ol' habaneros, too. Oh well!

Right on hog, I'll stick em under one of the trees where they'll get less light. I gave one of the pube plants when they were in solo cups to my father, his plant is 1/5th the size of mine and loaded with pods! Now that I think of it, it's next to a big tree.
