Reaper?

Hey Everybody!
 
I got some seeds from puckerbutt seeds and some live plants from a guy Hardwood1980 on etsy. I'm not here to bash either one.
 
But i do need help with a pepper ID. and help uploading a photo or two

Thanks, I had my suspicions that they were something else. The plant is about 3 months old. Flowers started about a month ago, peppers were visible about 2 weeks ago. I am going to give them a try in a week or two. Hopefully they are tasty and hot as hell.

I hope so, the wife can eat the hottest of hot sauce and not even flinch. so I started growing tabasco’s and dragon’s and blended 100 of them up, added a little vinegar and salt... Its Hot AF for me... but her, nothing. So I have been trying to get the reaper to see if she can take it... but I think her heat receptor is broken, so no matter what I grow, she will not think it’s hot. it’s kind of like screaming at somebody who is deaf or a flashlight at somebody who is blind. nothing works...

I bought reaper seeds from pucker-butt, none of them would sprout. months go by, just when im about to throw them away and i see about half of them sprouted. 2 weeks later, bugs got all but one...
 
I also got "Carolina Reaper" cuttings from Hardwood1980(Mauki Sun Farm).. about the time the bugs got my sprouts, they got all my cuttings, other than the weakling i kept inside...
 
somewhere they got mixed up. one went in the hydroponics bucket, one went in the soil.. the one in the soil is not doing so hot...but hopefully it will produce something....the picture above is the one in my hydro-bucket.
 
I’m not mad about them not being reapers.. but i still want to try and get some of them...i just would rather get a clone of a sure enough reaper vice trying for seeds that could have been cross pollinated and not grow true to type...

Harvey, you should try to get seeds from someone within the forum! there are many trustworthy people here who can sell to you. As you're from the states and most people here are too it should be easier

Now to confuse everyone, including myself.  Have noticed that US sites and non US sites tend to show completely different pod types for the Carolina Reaper.  Fatalii Net says they look like the link below.  I might be wrong, but I think they are very well known and reputable.

What they are calling Carolina Reaper looks a lot like some of your photos.

I thought it was Hippy Seed that had a version that looked like what Fatalii Net shows.  I can not find it anymore.  Maybe it was somewhere else.  Anyway, who ever it was described it as seeming to be hotter than Carolina Reaper.  Said the placenta was rope like.

Cayenne Diane has this to say: "So the look of these fruits kinda tends to be all over the place. Most images you will see of the Carolina Reaper have the distinctive lobes and the stinger tail. But some Reapers do look more like a Ghost Pepper. Check out the photos below of various Carolina Reapers."

Look at the photos on the bottom of her article.  Many of yours look just like her photo.

That is the shape I select for too.  You know it is kind of funny.  I am not going to wager a guess at what is going on.  But because someone said their seeds were wonky but came from Puckerbuttt, I will ask a goofy question: Is it possible for something to destabilize?  I have no clue.  I know humans will grow all weird if they inbreed too much.

I had to show your comment to my wife. I'm doing exactly the same with reaper and scorpion. Keeping fingers crossed!! I tell people her blood type is Tabasco!
