indoor Ceramic heat emitters and grow tents

I've been using my 150 watt ceramic heat emitter for about a week now, and it works much better than blowing a space heater through the door of the tent. I did figure it out today that they don't work in dry air. At less than 30% humidity, it can't warm up the air. Get the humidity up just a few percent and the ir can warm the moisture which heats the air. Lesson learned, I should have added the humidifier before the air started getting so dry. I guess I may be ordering a humidity controller sooner than expected, didn't think the air in the basement would ever get this dry.
