OK, since it was mentioned in another thread..........

 

The OP was asking about a specific brand/sauce....so...

 

I agree that Dave's Ghost sauce is probably OK to leave unrefr'd....  but imho, do not assume other hot sauces are safe to be left unrefrigerated.

Sauce just came by mail. Tried it on meatballs: the heat was there, but didnt last for long. So I tried again and again. Probably the same heat level as Melindas Ghost sauce, yet Melindas tastes like fresh peppers, and Daves has cooked flavor. Left the sauce in the pantry :-)

Well, I have to take my words back. I tried Melindas and Daves side by side, 3 drops of each, on crackers. Daves Ghost is MUCH hotter! %)
