Tabasco?

I'm thinking these might be Tabascos. They're growing down the road from me. Any ideas?

I don't know what that is, but it doesn't appear to be a Tabasco to me. The Tabascos I grew in 2016 had dark purple anthers on the flower and the peduncles were quite a bit longer than on the plant in your photos. The Tabasco pods had a less tapered appearance, and they didn't grow as close together as the pods in your first photo.

Had a taste and it was blaaaand. Medium, stinging kind of heat that hit fast then faded just as fast. Smell had no noteworthy characteristics.. just smelt very generic if that makes sense.

I'm thinking now it's just some random ornamental variety

Thanks everyone for your input!

I believe Tabasco is C Frutescens, this look like a C Annuum. I would take a guess at Prairie Fire. Heat is about 50,000 to 90,000 SHU. Great for drying and has a very peppery burn.
