I've been looking into planting some cover crops since I moved here. Unfortunately, my garden wasn't prepared to be sown in before winter, so now I'm left wondering what to do come spring. Plant-out here is around the end of June, so there should be time for a cover crop to grow, right?
Any of you guys have tips or ideas? I've been looking into hairy vetch, but I should've sown those before winter. Annual ryegrass maybe?
Edit: I should mention I'm mostly looking for cover crops to increase organic matter, improve soil structure and decrease soil compaction.
