soil Miracle-Gro Nature’s Care Potting Soil

Anyone have any experience using this? Its on sale so I thought Id give it try. Much cheaper than the local organic mix I buy.

I used it but noticed after a while it got really dense and didn't drain that well. Maybe adding a little perlite to it would have helped

Just happen to have a huge bag of vermiculite handy

Wouldn't the vermiculite hold onto more water vs no perlite?

Ill have to experiment. I may have some perlite in the shed. Ill also be growing in fabric pots

According to the Natures care website it has perlite in it. Ill buy a few bags and see.

Ive been using this for a couple years now, I too have found that by itself or mixed with less than 33% perlite it will compact and doesnt drain as well as I would like. I mix at least 33% perlite when using this soil and I too use fabric pots. I was very skeptical in using anything from Miracle-Gro at first, but it has a lot of the same ingredients that other more expensive organic soils have.
