pics Harvest

Only thing ripening daily are my pickling cukes.

Already did 16 quarts of whole cukes.

Now doing spears in pints. Had a few larger cukes so made 5 quarts as well.

Some Thai Hot Ornamental pods

I realized I hadn't really harvested anything besides the odd one while out with the plants so I grabbed the ripe ones. I've never grown them before (got this as a plant from Ace), but they go green - brown - red. Anyone know if this is normal?
 
I've grown Bonnie's Thai Hot Ornamental Pepper and agree they don't grow from green to red, see below - not sure I'd call it brown, but it's some color in that neighborhood!

Thats my plan. Some of the larger ones ive already picked look like the seeds are mature but..........
 
Once they get to the size of a large lemon they are getting a bit too large. Pick them when about the size of a small lemon. They taste just like a mild cucumber.

hey i didn't do half bad for my first time growing garlic  :cool:   can tell the few that i didn't snap the scapes off didn't grow as large of heads

wife used pink ribbon as it was 'all she could find' to tie them up  :lol:  :rolleyes:
 
they will get cleaned much more after they dry a bit, the paper skins on them fresh out of the ground tears easily
 
and now i have garlic i grew to go along with all the peppers i grow for some of my sauces   :dance:  :dance:

Man this was some work. I only picked the "ripest" pods. WTF am i gunna do with all these pods? :D
