contest Growdown Throwdown 2019 Sri Lanka - Chilli Red!

Happy Holidays to you guys!

I stumbled over last seasons growdown thread and followed it with great delight during my first season growing from seed. Had a lot of fun and learned a lot
(the rocketfuel soak did wonders to my germination rate).

Was determined to get in on the next growdown but somehow missed the start completely :mope:

The yellow brainstrain was a tier (or three) to high for me, but the chili red sounds extra awesome and quite a bit more up my alley.

So what I'm trying to say is: Any chance for a late coming newbie to get in on this?

To make matters worse, I'm an international, but I'm more than wiling to figure out how to get my hands on  some US-stamps and figure this whole SASE-business out.

Or I could paypal someone some bucks, whichever is more convenient.

Would be awesome if there were a way but I perfectly understand if it's too much of a hassle.

@ pfefferoni: PM Walchit - he is handling seed distribution at this time.

If there is a problem, I'll have him send me some, then I'll send them
to you. I'm not in the contest this year, but I like to see an international
community!

*sits on mailbox waiting*

A great germination tip I've been told is to make a strong solution of nutes with a little water, and throw into a pressure cooker on high pressure for about 20-30 minutes.
The nutes penetrate the seeds so well they practically explode into mature plants as soon as they hit soil.

True story.

I would imagine adding a splash of rocket fuel wouldn't hurt, either.

Of course with this method it is best to have a pressure cooker dedicated to this.

Merry Christmas! May you all have helmet heads and power outages during these next few weeks of germination.

With any luck your helmet head can go from this :

Hey Rich,I thank ye suh!

Y'all see that the secret to winning a hemisphere wide competition like this'n heah is not simple penmanship...You attract the seed distributor's eye with a lovely checkered-patterned envelope reminiscent of the classic pic-a-nic blanket, which promotes a more attentive choice of seed to mail....I can divulge that secret now that it's too late for you in the peasantry to catch on...Good luck to all....

Oh, and thanks for covering me on the bubbly stuff, Rich! I do owe you one.

I passed on last year's growdown because the pepper chosen was too hot for me.  This year is one closer to my level. Some of you guys/gals have very green thumbs.  My dad could grow like that.  Pepper-Guru your signature Feed The Soil is exactly what my dad did.  He had a big steaming compost pile.

Walchit is sending me some seeds, so add me to the growdown.

Don't worry roper this group also has back benchers like me. In for inspiration and fun.

Alright, looks like fun times about to begin.

It's okay to start seeds now; you just have
to stop counting by Dec. 26, 2019.
