‘Lukoshko on the Window’ and ‘Yellow Olle’

Some of the c. chinense pods are beginning to show color.
 
A nice Fatali pod, some early Yellow 7, and some Khang Star
Lemon Starburst. Two of the latter have a decent phenotype;
(they look more like bonnets than my Scotch Bonnet pods.)
There are  lots of pods with more proper phenotype to be picked:

Here’s one for you. The stems on the early, small pods on the Mini Red
Rocoto are drying out and the pods get sort of dull and soft. The
larger pods are just starting to ripen, so we’ll see what happens
with them:

The stems are very difficult to separate from the branches.
 
Any ideas about what could cause this?
 
Just some random pics from around the grow. 
We have had two days of constant 25-30 mph
winds and temps in the 80s so some plants
looking pretty sad. Only had a few laid over.
Will begin damage control and clean-up tomorrow.

Most of the long branches on the Sugar Rush Peach
got folded over the top rim of the tomato cage:

Hope those hang on and keep growing.  Will have
to be careful trying to lift it up.
 
More pods starting to show some color.
 
USDA c. cardenasi and c. chacoense ‘Putapario’ 
in the cups, c. eximium on the towel. A few KS
Lemon Starburst and a couple of Fatali:

Golden Marconi. This is the first time the Marconis
haven’t taken until October to start ripening. Last
season I only had one or two ripe ones:

Also found another Piment de Espelette and
a pair of Haskorea:

These pods dried at 105F (according to the dehydrator’s thermostat.)

Pod color maintained pretty well. I may have
to try 95F next time with the TT white pods to
keep the yellowing due to heat at a minimum.
 
Found a couple of ripe KS Lemon Starburst and some Fatalis.
The Star Burst remind me of my Beth Boyd bonnets. There are
a couple of decent Fatalis, maybe 2-1/2 inches in length.
 
I like the yellow of the SB; nice to have a true yellow pod rather
than yellow-orange. These Fatalis aren’t too bad.

We are probably pretty safe from the existing fires,
but there are just a lot of trees in our cities here! Who
knows if one could start in an empty lot or something
with the wind. All quiet here today. Just real smokey
with red sun!
 
Managed to find a few pods while cleaning up
storm debris from our high winds earlier in the
week.
 
Clock wise from Trippaul Threat ‘White Lightening’: Bird Aji,
USDA cardenasii, c. chacoense Putapario, couple of runts,
and in the center some c. eximium:

Rain would be welcomed,but down here we don't see rain this time of year. You guys have a chance tho.

Thanks, HM, at least there are pods.
Now to get them ripened up!
 
I hear that, HM. You can see the smoke
drifting through our neighborhood. Smells
like camping! I shudder to think where this
all will end before it's all over. In ten years
we won't have any forest left.

Looks like we have a shot at some precipitation
this coming Monday (a few hundredths) and
Tuesday (maybe a third of an inch tops). That
would sure be nice. I like the hot, sunny weather,
but things are so dry in the area.
