Pasta sauce recipe?

04 July 2018 - 12:09 PM

I have a bunch of tomatoes and need to do something with them soon, so I'm thinking about making a pasta sauce. Any basic recipes anyone want to share? I could go online and search but I find that many recipes to be overly complicated. Like someone took a recipe added a bunch of crap and made it their own. I'm trying to avoid all the fluff and looking for a straight forward recipe. Thanks in advance

Tea Time

08 April 2018 - 07:30 PM

*A thread for all tea lovers

In an attempt to cut down on sugary drinks, I'm going to try and drink more tea. After a little research I'm convinced that loose leaf tea is the way to go. Picked up a few items to get me started. The little teapot with strainer only cost $3 at the Daiso, which should come in handy when drinking solo. The glass teapot and tea came from the Korean-mart. For the tea I went with a Green Tea (Sen-cha) the most popular tea in Japan and a Oolong tea from China. I know I like green tea but not sure about the Oolong tea which is fermented for awhile. Will be interesting exploring the world of tea.

Grass Snake's Garden 2018

Here are some photos of what's growing so far. Trying a little bit of everything this year. The goal is to grow as much food as I can at home instead of buying from the store. This will most likely be just a picture glog because I'm horrible at documenting progress.

This is the backyard only. I've got a bunch of stuff growing in the front and the side yard that I'll take pictures of and post later. Good luck to everyone this growing season.

Any ideas?

Grew this out from a pod that was mislabled Mako Kokoo. The pod was small and yellow and this plant is producing small jelly bean shaped pods which will probably turn yellow. Anyone recognize this one?

Please help me identifying this pepper

This plant was the last to go in the ground and it never got labeled. Thinking it maybe Paper latern but then it starting turning yellow. Chinense varieties don't usually do good for me so my guess would be a Baccatum of some sort but not completely sure.
