The FSST feeding the other day seems to have kicked my plant into high gear! Another big hand full.

Was gonna post more photos but seem like they changed the policies on this forum compared to last year and i can't upload anymore photos unless I pay up. Too bad

You can upload the photos to 3rd party image hosting site like imgur and link them here. There is no limit on that.

Sorry to hear that Walchit.

Found these guys hiding in the canopy. I am not sure why some of these pods are ripening when they are still small. But, I see new flower buds.. Excited.

I suspect the nutes ran out about 4 or 5 days ago. Since I'm not going to be away for any serious length of time for the rest of the year, I should be OK.

Next year, assuming a similar length holiday, I will have to work out an alternative. I was already thinking about a two stage float valve with one higher than the other - the higher one will fill nutes and the second a back-up connected to the hose. Another option would be a nute injection setup but these seem pricey. The cheapest solution may be just to add another 30gal reservoir or two. I have a lot of time to think about it!

Or a friend/neighbor who can top up the reservoirs once they are empty?

Since you said your neighbor is an avid gardener, may be you can teach her how to mix the nutes. lol.

How's the heat on yours saiias?  Mine produce big and lots up here, but no perceptible heat to me.  Still the lobes are super tasty.

No heat at all. Crunchy and sweet.

So not a baccatum flower corolla. It looks like I see an annular constriction of the calyx, is that right?  And just one flower per node - is that right?  So maybe it's an interspecific cross baccatum x chinense?  This is a really interesting one to think about.  You saving seeds?

Yes on saving seeds and also sending seeds.

#1643946 help needed

Posted by saiias on 20 July 2019 - 11:10 PM

Please help me identify my pepper pod.
It was supposed to be or what I thought is a Bahamian goat.

I was under impression that it indeed was a baha goat till Mitzi pointed out in Harvest thread.
Now I am not sure what they are. May be friends here can help me identify this pepper.

  • The pods start green and ripen into bright Red.
  • Some pods have little stingers at the bottom.
  • Heat level is Habenero ish
  • Flavor is awesome..
