Many places I do business with may want a credit card to start things rolling. But they don't charge you "until" they send it. If they can only fill part of the order. They do and charge you. If something is out of stock they don't you until they ship .

#1149784 New raised bed - various questions.

Posted by P. Dreadie on 18 April 2015 - 06:08 AM

My raised beds are much deeper. But shouldn't matter. One of things I've always liked about raised beds is you can put plants much closer . When plants get larger they shade the soil.

It's like the Square Foot Garden style.

I always use shade cloth . Around June it's to protect my plants from hail we always get. But I've found I like it up all the time. And in some areas I may have more than one layer. It stops the sun burn some plants would get. And the soil does need less water.

If you can save rain water that's good. I don't know this to be true but I heard in Colorado they charge you for that. That seems pure Wicked !! Don't know they enforce that

Good Luck

#1145831 Plants for purchase in USA?

CCN sell them in lots of 6 because that's how their boxes built.  The boxes are super !! Belly up and buy 6. Do you buy single beers ?

Agreed !!! Datil .....  Boom !

As a small home gardener I find it hard to make sure everything ends up as a pure strain. I try my best but at times I see new seeds tossing something that's different.  Not at all what I was expecting. I don't find that out until harvest time . Sometimes the cross gives me something cool , sometimes a big fail. Because

I understand to really developed a new strain I need enough room to grow many of those plants to select from. You also need to have a vision of what you want to end up with and be willing to spend years on that goal.

So when I end up with plants / peppers that don't give me what I was wanting .... the next year I step back to seeds that I know gave me the proper results . Seeds from several season's early.

Didn't add freebie pictures ... but they are nice too

Thanks Judy ....

My season in winding down . I'm sure we'll soon get a freeze harsh enough my shade cloth won't help. My Bonnets & most peppers came in later than I wanted but I'm well pleased. I have tubs and tubs of MoA's , TFM , and Selects in the freezer. Scotch Bonnets are my favorites .... so I'm set for another year. Nuff happy

I've got a decent harvest of others too. Had Bells most the summer and really enjoyed them. Ton's of Thai & Jolly Penos .. I got quite a lot of what I call super hots too. 7 Pods,

Scorpions , Nagas , and others.

I've also ordered a few types of super hots to see if I liked them without growing them. So me Casa gonna' be warm all winter ... Seen ?

Respect to you Ramon

Browning thanks ...

You guys that think I'm trying to stir things up fine. That's your right.  But that's not the case . If Dale hadn't chimed in and said I got them from him all but what I was trying to gain would be mute here.

You guys don't know me. I don't stir things up , at least not on purpose. Can't think of any thread I've posted that went in this direction.

I'm NOT trying to start shit ! So shut up if you can't get it that I'm trying to learn something here . Yes the peppers were fresh no problem , yada yada . Service as great no problem.

I'm not trying to bust Dale's Jr balz or anyones . Dale ease up ! Stop being so gun shy ... When I'm pissed you'll know it . There will be NO way to not notice it .

To me they look the same , it's that simple . OC if you want to help , show me the differences or the likeness of the two from what You've grown . I have limited space in my humble garden. I don't want to grow two types peppers that are so much a like you / nobody / or few can't tell the difference.

I'm not looking for a refund doing this. Dale forget my PM's ..... if want to keep bringing them up I'll mute that here . Ever bought a T-shirt or anything .... and at first liked it. Then felt different later ?

All I want is to learn a few things. Cease fire on the flames . That's not what I started this for.
