#1378085 7 pot brain strain

Posted by MisterBigglesworth on 16 October 2016 - 05:44 PM

The only pepper I have tried that was hotter than a typical Brain Strain was a Reaper.

I've not had the opportunity to try a Primo but will be growing them next year.

#1365743 The hottest small pepper?

White Bullet Habanero is the hottest small pepper I have grown.  THey pack quite a punch for such a small pepper.

Agreed.

#1357828 Scotch bonnet shape evidence enough?

Posted by MisterBigglesworth on 31 August 2016 - 07:09 AM

Apparently I have been growing the Papa Joe's for 5 years now.   Original stock from Cross Country Nurseries in 2012.     Labeled only as " Scotch Bonnet Yellow."   Prolific, tasty and hotter than any of the "pure" bonnets I have tried.   Sent seeds to the "Bonnet Master"   Trident this year.

For the curious, the outer and inner yellow borders are all Nebru7, bottom left and right quadrants are red Nagabrain, upper left is 7 Pot Rennie, upper right is Carolina Reapers and BBG7 x PDN.

#1348483 Lets see your meanest, most gnarly pods!!!

Posted by MisterBigglesworth on 09 August 2016 - 12:07 PM

Would you mind giving a description of this pepper? Taste, production etc

I have seeds but there is not much info about this one around.

Cheers

Let's take a look inside.

Nagabrain%20Cross%20Section_zps3trcpwbg.

Looks like a bhut, smells like a bhut, tastes like a bhut.    The plant itself is average in production, probably going to yield 50-60 pods that taste pretty good.   Earthy, slightly fruity flavor that is not floral nor bitter.     Would make good sauces or powders.      This one tested well on a hot dog with ketchup.   Bits of it, anyway.

#1347440 Hottest thing you ever ate.

Extract laden wing sauce,  actually tasted good but man the cap cramps were 8 hours of living hell.

Had to take a sick day off work.

#1336217 Anyone grow yellow fatillis last season or growing them this year ?

Posted by MisterBigglesworth on 07 July 2016 - 02:59 PM

Yellow fatalli IMO is one of the best tasting hotter peppers.     They're also productive.

I think they have been given less attention recently due to the craze over crosses, but very worth it for sauce making and general use.

I don't have seeds right now but they should be easy to obtain.
