Sweet & Hot Beans
2 cans of pork & beans
1 lb of bacon
2 coarsely chopped onions
1/2 box of light brown sugar
Your favorite pepper powder
Cut the bacon into pieces and cook over a medium/low fire until cooked, but not crispy. Add your onion and saute' until clear. Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Make sure the fire is low enough not to crystallize or caramelize the sugar. Add the beans and cook on low, stirring occasionally until hot. Add your favorite pepper powder to taste and enjoy it with some ribs, brisket, BBQ chicken, or whatever you happen to toss on the grill that day! Great with a homemade cider/mustard slaw on the side!

I ate a Paqui reaper chip yesterday, known to the world as the "One Chip Challenge". It was hot, but not ridiculous... then the stomach cramps hit. All the blood rushed out of my face, because they told me I was starch white, curled up on the floor... heart rate dropped to around 50-ish. Never checked BP, but never felt light headed... just searing belly pain. All's well today
