I cooked the steak on my kettle and the pie in my BGE....i cooked the pie for about 2 hours....I use baking potatos because of the high starch content...helps hold things together better.

100 lumens/watt is about the same as a fluorescent  lamp, not very efficient.

I'll guess cheap chinese lamps.

Might be cheap but they are doing their job..  nice and healthy..thick stems...green...thats all that matters..

Hey thanks for looking guys....I always find keeping the cheese inside the meatballs to be a challenge.....nothing  worse than cutting them open only to find your cheese has cooked or leaked out.....i got lucky this time.

I had some grnd pork, veal and beef that I seasoned heavy with Meat Church's Holy Gospel rub.

I formed them into six big sized meatballs and then shoved a piece of good old white cheedar into the center of each.

Sealed them up and wrapped a couple strips of bacon around each.

Sprinkled another coat of rub to top them off.

I cooked these on my BGE with the plate setter in....cooked for about one and a half hours at 375-400 degrees.

I had a couple blocks of peach for smoke and finished with a heavy coat of Five Monkeys BBQ sauce.

Served with some fried Perogies and sliced cucumbers.

#1545616 Buckets or grow bags?

Posted by Sizzle Lips on 15 April 2018 - 01:35 PM

I have tried both and always went back to using 5 gallon buckets....grow bags are great for root development and the do air prune themselves....but in real hot weather you will be watering steady.

#1538622 Peppers from store bought seeds?

Posted by Sizzle Lips on 18 March 2018 - 01:42 PM

I use seeds form store bought peppers all the time.....right now I have Red/Orange Sheppard,Yellow/Green Bell,Sweet long Orange,...and a few others that I just transplanted today....these were from beautiful store bought.....but I do let mine dry first.....not sure if that makes any difference or not.....but at the time I had the peppers it was to early to plant.
