Anybody else growing cannabis?

We've had legal homegrow in Virginia since the summer and I've been having a blast. I run a little 36x20x63 tent and have been able to provide a modest abundance for myself and some family. Just switched from a three-plant staggered autoflower cycle with individual reservoirs to one big reservoir so I can run autos or photos.
Anybody else post your rig?

Screen training. First time. I've always avoided it because it locks the plants in place. It's necessary here because there's nowhere for the light to go - it's attached to the underside of the bench top. I've got about 13" between the light and the screen. I hope it's enough.

These little guys develop about twice as fast as my Rocotos. It's like watching weeds grow back in the Primordial Ooze.

The smaller ones were planted a week after the two larger plants. I'm told I'm allowed 3 in CO without some $$ permit or other, I'm hedging my bets on getting at least 1 female, then dispatch the boys.

I'm going to go Unc Eckley's route, ordered a VivoSun 32"X20"X48" tent. The humidity here hovers around 18% in this house, I'd like a little more environmental control.

Looking good!

You know, you can get feminized beans now. No males to cull that way. Reggie beans are for breeders.

My tent doesn't do shit for humidity control, unfortunately. It just breathes in the dry air too fast. I don't worry too much about low humidity anymore. I tent young plants and I guess the older ones just make do with all the moisture available in the reservoirs. I do worry about high humidity, though. I fight it in the summer. I've got a dehumidifier meant for a 4000sq' space in my little room. That's good for about 10% reduction in RH.

Was in the tent today checking levels. Things are getting real.

Defoliate, tuck. Defoliate, tuck. Every couple days.

Nurple's ready, but Bruce Banner's not quite there. I started the flush today, anyway. Will take these down in a few days. Ugh, I hate trimming.

yeah trimming does suck. do you let em hang and let them mature? my grandmother swore on doing that for pepper plants and ive heard the same for MJ. ive only done this once and it seems to help with aging drying both types of fruits!

Trimmed branches hang in a wine fridge for a few days to dry. Dried flower goes into quart jars with RH packs to cure.

From looking at your pics I would say so!

The cross "stabilizing" bars that criss-cross the top? The short one fit perfect, the long one was a full inch too long. I almost punched a hole in the tent trying to force it in.

I wound up stretching bungees across. Work fine.

I've read a bunch of complaints about mismatched parts in reviews, too. I wonder if the bars can be had separately.

My grow under the workbench screwed up my plans for chile and cucamelon seeds. Had to order another tent. Wait'll you see where it goes, lol.

I'm excited about Nurple. I grew one out last year that gave me some very nice bud, but I hadn't got into concentrates yet, so this will be my first opportunity to try the rosin. Here's a Nurple nug from the last plant.

Frosty!

Hauled it out and broke it all down Tuesday. Took me ten hours to trim it all and I was pretty slapdash about it. I've got to find a faster way to get it done. I'm going to try a dry manicure this time; gotta new trim bin arriving today.

Had anybody ever tried dry ice? I've got a place about a mile from home that will turn it out on demand for me.

Making bubble hash?

Nah, there are a few more steps there than I want to take. This would be for making what's called "live" rosin. As I understand it, you chop the plant down, break the whole thing - fans and all - into chunks, then into a micron bag along with chunks of the dry ice. Agitate and collect. Then you press the kief. No water, no drying, no curing, and no trimming. I believe this is the process my local dispensaries use, but then of course they've got industrial machinery to facilitate. The rosin I make now suits me just fine; I'm really only interested if it would be less work overall to harvest and process. I used to look forward to harvest time. Now I dread it.

Making bubble hash?

A question regarding bubble hash: This product is for smoking only? Or are there alternatives for delivery systems? My farmer's lung doesn't let me smoke anything anymore (Oh, loved my Macanudos and Baccarats and Patels and the occasional Monte Cruz!), I wonder if the bubble hash process makes for a more refined candy or baked good ingredient? Maybe a hearty chicken tortilla soup...

Yah, I'm that new to this, though the stuff is pretty much growing itself.

Bubble hash can be pressed to create very nice rosin. The rosin can then be decarboxylated and used as a 1:1 replacement for any oil in just about any recipe. I wouldn't try to fry with it or anything, lol, but baked goods, or candies, things like that. I just mix reclaim (rosin that's been dabbed, recondensed, and collected) with some coconut oil and put that in empty gelcaps.

You might be able to dab at low temps without irritating your lungs, but I'd try it somehow before I laid out any money for supplies for that.

Plants are looking great! Thinking about training yet?
