Curious about that Hallows Eve... seems like a beautiful pepper!

Hallow’s Eve is a Bhüt x Neyde cross with dramatic, black and orange mottled pods. Superhot level, reports are it’sa decent eater; average for a superhot.

I considered using them in a Halloween display.

Plant-out completed, so took a little inventory:
Large container plants, on drip irrigation................23
The rest need hand watering:
#2 NC containers....................................................21
Small pots............................................................... 4
Seedlings................................................................ 1

•Total........................................................................49

Under 50, not bad! :D

Your plants look awesome Paul, especially considering the super wet weather we've been having this year. May got twice the average rainfall in my neck of the woods, and we already broke the average for June barely a week into it....

How long do you harden off your plants for?

Hey Paul. I wasn't actually hinting at you sending me some.🤣 But sure if you have spare ones My obsession with chilli varieties has me saying sure!!
I am glad you asked, my friend.

I will dig around, Tristen. I think I can
find a few just to tide you over until I
send more in the Fall (Your Spring.)

Glad to see you have still got the chili bug!

We've had pretty wet weather in our neighborhood,
as well. The plants out in the big containers don't
look real enthusiastic, but don't look too sodden,
either. Hoping for some sun breaks in the next few
weeks, at least.

Hardening off here is crazy, the weather is so variable
in the Spring. Sometimes the cloudy weather with
sun breaks goes a ways toward hardening off, but
it's never perfect.

Transplanted the c. flexuosum into a 48 oz.
(1.36 liter) double yogurt container. Seems
to have handled the transition okay.

The taller c. tovari has finally started to flower.
So far this one has been all growth spurt.

Finally putting out some lateral branches as well. Has
basicly been a twin tower the whole Spring.

As always, Sir Paul, your grows are amazing.

I've had little chance to spend any time on the glogs this season, but the Darlin' Bride & I are both down with a nasty 2 week flu bug, mine having another +/- 5 days to go...I did want to stop in and try to catch up on what is never a disappointing thread...

Our move not turning into the smoothly run operation that we all love to pretend they will be, we're still in a rental so I only planted two pepper plants this year, hardly worth a glog. But now I wish I'd have started more, like a nice Aji Amarillo! It ain't no lie: Peppers love Colorado!! Middle of June and I got pods setting, go figure...

My Rocotos
Rocoto 6-10-22.jpg

This is from a few days ago. In the time since they've both exploded with blossoms, the only handicap is the 19% humidity here. They get watered almost every day, something I've never had to do. I also mist them once every morning and night.

Next year I hope to be competing with you once more, if this house market would just take a good dump...

It's looking great Paul! I'll try to get by more often...Gotta go see some other grows, keep 'em green!
