Dougthehead 2023 Glog

I guess now is as good a time as any to start a grow log. I'm currently growing under a Barrina 2000 led grow light. I fell for aquariums as a hobby over ten years ago… spent months collecting and treating driftwood and stones, establishing a lovely waterscape of tended, living plants, working out the imbalances, welcoming a few volunteer inhabitants which must have come in on plant roots… got it all beautiful and was juuuust ready to actually choose and add fish when this happened. Over a week without power in a frigid January killed everything.

I’m glad you saved your fish, but I’m sure you lost a lot of other effort… not to mention the property damage! I’m sorry that happened.

Oh man, that's terrible. I'm so sorry you lost everything. That happened to a lot of people here in Texas during the ice storm a couple years ago. I think that if anything happens again I'm going to hang up the hobby.
