Yea, it might just be some some kind of habanero they gave a fancy name... they do sell what they call a mustard habanero, though. Maybe the heat is lower, or it doesn't have a strong habanero taste. Either way, I'll give it a try and see.
I've got all but one pepper up and running. The Cristal pepper came up as a helmet head, and I got a little too enthusiastic about fixing it and it bit the dust. I started it again, so soon as it pops I'll get it going... I'm not worried as I am still picking peppers here all the way into late...

I think you're right on time... I always stagger my sowings. I start my superhots first... I have two that are up, and three more on the heat pad. I'll have the rest of them started by the first week of February. I live in Alabama and like you in Texas, we have a LONG season.
