    hobbies GUNS!!!!

My daughter bought a new Remington 870 about a year ago.  We cannot tell the difference in the finish when compared to my 20 year old 870.  They look and feel the same.  She keeps hers cleaned and oiled as she shoots it regularly, but the finish has given her zero issues so far.

Yes...ribs :)  I am not really good on grilling stuff, but thought I would try.  The other half of my household deserves the effort :)  They were good enough to not leave any leftovers! :D

The last two days worth of harvest.  Jalapeno and Habanero.    Transplanted the Pablano, Cayenne and Serrano plants in to three gallon pots.

So this is the second to "go orange".  The first was harvested a few days ago.   We ate the Cayenne and it was warm...we cooked the Habanero on the BBQ and it was "Oh, this might have been a mistake" HOT.  Both were delicious and we are looking forward to more! :)

Need to transplant the tomatoes to larger pots.  They are in 2gal now.  The table is rated for 800 pounds...can easily support the extra weight!  Thank you for sharing your info, @skullbiker!

    Kaity's 2020 Growing Effort :)

Just a quick update picture heavy.  Hope this finds everyone well!  The Jalapeno is the only pepper plant I have in the ground.  For some the gophers, scourge of the earth, leave it alone.     This is my first crop of winter peppers, super small...we are drying them to blend into a custom...

    Kaity's 2020 Growing Effort :)

The growing is going well.  Both of my Habanero plants, the Cayenne and Serrano are now producing peppers.  The Pablanos and Piquins are growing big, but still has yet to flower.  They will be giant plants if they keep going this way!  None of the Carolina Reaper seeds survived past their second...

Family helped get the garden looking better.  Nice to have some extra muscles helping! :)   So the current pepper batch is my 3rd season Jalapeno, Habenaro, Serano, Cayenne, Pablano and a lone Carolina Reaper.  Also started some more lettuce and we also are going to try potted blueberry!

    hydroponic Simple Outdoor Hydroponic Setup?

I created a flood bucket system.  It has two grow buckets and 10 gallon reservoir currently.  It is sort of a stacked system.

Thank you for the kind words.  I never thought that I could get so emotionally compromised by the loss of some plants, but my family almost staged an intervention!   I think that I will stick with potted gardening for a bit now that I am healing. :)  The Jalapeno is still in the ground and...

    Kaity's 2020 Growing Effort :)

Still going after raising my spirits from the depths of gopher hell...   Finally trapped them out I think and put down enough repellent (this stuff stinks and make my dog pee all over the lower yard) that the gophers might be at bay...   My current garden consists of my Jalapeno, a sprig of the...

    Effective gopher control methods?

While we have the means to obliterate gophers via high velocity objectification...we cannot really employ such means in our yard :D   Ordered GopherScram as a repellent, but also employed a trap that seems to work well.  It is the Black Hole trap and it caught two in a few hours.  Dig out the...

    Kaity's 2020 Growing Effort :)

Trapped another sometime at the end of yesterday.  That is two.   The destruction of the Ghost was fresh when I found it so I am attempting to root a few cuttings.  They are available at our local big box DYI store anyway, will purchase another.  They did not seem to like the roots of the...
