You are lucky.
Here in Argentina we have Tarantulas. Here they call them AraƱa pollito. Chick spider. They get really big. They say they cannot hurt you.
They can make you hurt yourself tough.š
The seeds came from the same envelope.
The chacoense here grows all over under the bigger plants and trees. Not very tasty but we eat them anyway. They grow like weeds.
Will give it another try with the green ones. Raw they taste soapy like the green chacoense from this area. Maybe cooked or fried it will be good. I like trying all the ways. There is another fenotype of this that looks totaly different. Like JalapeƱos but erect. Strange looking stuff.
Here I tried a ripe one now. It is about 2" long and still nt very tasty, but not bad at all. Hot for sure. The good thing is that the plant produces a lot of fruit. I will dry some and see how it comes out.
Thanks for all the replies.
This first fruit was only just turning redish so maybe if it gets really ripe it tastes better. I am not someone that tastes all the fine flavors anyway.
When its all boiled up or fermented it changes anyway with the spices and other chillies
Thanks Rob. Today I tried the first ripe one. Its a time bomb! At first it was hot, but nothing too wild. Then after about two minutes I realized it is nou exploding in my mouth. Even long after it was all chewed up and gone. Made me sweat for at least a few minutes.
Not very tasty. There are...
The green lines on the flowers is a bit like the green flowers of the Tabasco plants have but much less green.
Could it be a cross of some sort? Unintended.
Now that I have new glases (Boomer) I took another look at the flowers of this plant. They have grreen/yellowish lines on them as well as on the tips of petals. The photos do not show it so well, but it is not pure white.
Good morning. This is from store baught chillies. Hotter than JalapeƱo. By far. They are yellow from the beginning then orange and then red.
Fruits point upwards until they are fully developed.
Good afternoon. Thanks for the link.
Sweltering hot and humid here and a good bunch of biting insects.
Since I posted this thread I got some sweet paprika seeds and they are really producing well.
I post some pictures.
Waiting for them to ripen. Some are about 8" long. Plants are loaded.
Good afternoon
I have no idea what these are. The biggest ones are bigger than a pea and where I take them off the plants there is a leasion so they suck on the stems. I took off about twenty or so.
Thanks. This was actualy the driver's personal spices. Probably just what he buys to spice up his food. We started talking about chillies and he gave me his mixed bag of dried chillies. Unfortunately I did not plant the seeds until this spring. Four years later.
