Loving all the rain but worried about "overwatering"

It's a valid concern - my plants are recovering from it since I moved them into the garage.

I am worried too---i have a shade cloth over them at @ 8 ft high but that only shields them from direct hits from lrg raindrops, hail, and wind. The amount of water is a big problem that is allready showing up in the lack of new blooms!
