I'm curious how long a hot pepper plant will survive.  I have a red scotch bonnet and a serrano pepper that wintered over and wondering if they are lively to suvive a second wintering over?

For those of you who have grown and consumed Carolina Reapers... what is the general taste like?   I've gotten into growing hot peppers the other year and just got into the super hots (for the aesthetic) and after putting some thought into it I'd prefer to grow super hots that have a lovely...

Before entering I thought TC meant he pruned at least one of his plants experlty enough to get something like 10 branches all full and think sprouting front the base of the plant.   Instead I read his plant's dying.   I am disappoint.

Aspartame, along with all artificial sweeteners, destroy your nervous system.    Don't chew gum or drink diet soda or consume any kind of product with aspartame, you'll go blind and lose the feeling in your fingers!!!

There's no hornworm blood on my hands.   I'm a good god fearing agnostic. ;)

Cool   I don't mind them being around so long as they aren't farming aphids or damaging my fruit; seeing nature interact with my plants makes me happy.  I just can't say I recall having seen ants crawling in flowering buds before. 

So my serrano pepper plant successfully wintered over and its doing great, has dozens of flowers blossoming.  When I looked at it for a few moments I noticed some little black ants crawling on it and, uh, pollinating my plant?  Do some ants eat pollen or are they trying to abuse my poor plant...

SSoooooo......   Is creating a hybrid as easy as taking the pollen from one pepper plant and sticking it into the flower of another plant??????

I came home today and looked in my mail box, well dangnabit I saw that long awaited Pepper Joe envelope! I clicked my heels and jumped for joy. Thanks pepper joe for the quality product and the speedy customer service! I'll be enjoying those super hots.

So I left a cayenne pepper sitting on my kitchen counter for several months and its dry as a bone. I'm curious if its likely this has damaged the seed fertility or if they should be fine. Curious of what my chances are to get seedlings out of this thing!

So I moved to a new town and couldn't find any ghost pepper plants here. I asked my friend to mail me some of his seeds but I'm somewhat concerned the cold weather may kill them. Do below feezing temperatures kill hot pepper seeds or do you imagine they will be fine?
