    glog Simple Arizona 2025 Grow

Thanks for visiting Downriver! 3 days of rain and busy at work but I've got my plan mostly squared away and most of the supplies on prem.

    glog Simple Arizona 2025 Grow

Jiffy pellets have disappointed so far. It probably would have been better if I had good grow lights with my heat mat. In this year's setup I move from a dedicated germination spot to a cooler brightly lit area. Some seeds just pop early and I move to lights so they wont get leggy. The rest...

    glog Simple Arizona 2025 Grow

Thanks for checking out my garden. I'm heading out of town for a few days so I had to move the latest tray (some germination already) to the cold garage and dim the lights to preserve moisture. Once I get back I'll get things set up on automatic watering and brighter light. If I get the...

    glog Simple Arizona 2025 Grow

Had fast germination from a few of the first round so I moved the tray to a garage spot under lights after 3 or 4 days. The garage stays cold so not much else has come up but I see the hooks. Starting another tray in the bigger 42mm pellets (25 count) in a 1010. Seeded 4/11: Orange Manzano...

    glog Simple Arizona 2025 Grow

Keeping it simple for 2025. Last year I started in early to mid March and the faster growing plants got out of hand. First seeds went in today March 25th. We can get a surprise freeze through the end of June even though it's 85 today. These are my first 12 varieties but many more to come...

    seed-train 2024-2025 Mega Seed Train

I'm still a couple weeks away from starting my peppers for 2025. If anyone wants to trade let me know. I'll also plan to save more for a train next year and could send them ahead to the first in line.

    pickling Indian Green chillie pickle

Nice. One of my favorite condiments. It will be nice to make my own and go for different flavors. The jar I'm looking at now (deep brand) also has ginger and uses lime juice and corn oil. Thanks!

Orange Thai harvested after a killing freeze. Everything else was destroyed but all Orange Thai plants were harvestable. Makes great, hot powder. Here's the Yavapai Habanero grown out from seeds from a plant from a Yavapai College plant sale. Good all around habanero fresh or dried.

    seed-train 2024-2025 Mega Seed Train

@jgundo, was there anything fresh/liquid in there that could have leaked or rotted? I've seen that cause packages to get stuck. Another theory is that they assigned the same number to two packages in Oregon and it's all screwed up in the computer. I've. had fedex lose a package like that.

Even $20 is crazy! USPS delivers drill bits free across the ocean. Makes no sense to me. Anyone look at what UPS would charge?

plant-care Peppers better for extreme temps(Arizona)

any other plants growing well in the same soil? did you keep any in containers? 10 gallon is pretty big and expensive if you are bringing in soil/mix. Might need to water twice a day. I would think if the ground or container soil is good and they get enough water they could survive through...
