off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. It's sunny and 76F, on its way to 99F. Calling for sunny, very hot and humid. Extreme heat warning starting at 11am. RF up to 108F. Another ouch kind of day. Spent some time in the garden yesterday. We actually put some plants in the ground - yay. Still lots more to do. 100F is not a good time to plant, but whadda gonna do? Fingers crossed. Might work on that mowing today, ha. Hope everybody has a terrific Tuesday. Be safe out there and respect the heat.
 
Good morning. 60-82F, WX predicted rain for the past 2 days - maybe today. CG to water, then a meeting and a luncheon with the gals. Like DR, I still have/had plants to either throw or plant in pots. Hope to get more done today.
Enjoy the day as best you can. These heat indexes I’m seeing for you all are scary. Even the Northeast is hot. Stay cool as best you can.
 
Good morning. It's 78F on its way to 94F. More RF of 100+. Another hot, humid and windy day. No chance of rain. Yesterday, I mowed and got the pool filled. Trimming this morning and doing some laundry. @ Catherine: I was weeding in the beds around the house and noticed that your favorite beetles have arrived on my roses. I need to start fighting them today. The wife is exterminating a hoard of tiny ants that have made their way into the house and the cat's food. It's always something. Nothing much else is going on. I've got a match to go to this evening. Maybe I'll stop for tacos on the way. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. Last day for cooler temps, nice sleeping weather. We had 1/2 hr. of rain yesterday, no hail luckily. Harry, I’m sorry you have the dreaded beetles already. Since our garden is very late, maybe they will go elsewhere (probably not). I’ll check out the flowers this AM. Lunch w/a few gals, then check out the wet garden.

Good morning. It's sunny and 81F, on its way to 95F. Calling for partly sunny, hot and humid, with a thunderstorm possible this afternoon/tonight. Heat advisory starting at 11am. RF up to 106F. Too hot yesterday to do much. Jerry-rigged some shade over the plants in the ground, trying to keep them alive. Seemed to help. Gonna try to plant some more this morning, before it gets stinking hot. Hope everybody has a wonderful Wednesday. Be safe out there and beat the heat!
 
Good morning. It's 76F on its way to 93F. Hot, windy and humid. RF still around 100F. Maybe a T-Storm around this afternoon. We could use the rain. Late night at the match. A little late getting going this morning. Probably doing some casual futzing today. Working on stuff for my upcoming bass fishing trip to Canada. Probably sit in the pool. Not much else is going on. Shrimp enchiladas w/jalapeno cream sauce this evening. Be safe and be good.

Another one of those afternoon thunderstorms came through yesterday. We received about 0.50" of rain. Got a little more done in the garden before the rain. Lots of breaks, because of the heat. Today, we have a lunch thing, then need to run a few errands afterward. Probably no garden work today. Hope everybody has a terrific Thursday. Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Good morning. 62-89F, warmer for a few days, dry also. Coffee group, then lunch with the gals. We spread lots of last year’s shredded leaves in the garden for mulch as the soil is beginning its usual cracking. Too wet, then too dry. I see a lot of plants grown in metal containers are having a hard time surviving this year.

Good morning. It's 72F on its way to 90F. Cloudy with a few T-Storms. Had a severe storm come through last evening with high winds, hail and horizontal rain. I need to get outside and survey the garden for damage. Futzing today. Grilling sausages and sipping sangria this evening. Be safe and be good.
 
Good morning. It's cloudy and 72F, on its way to 77F. Cooler today, calling for sun and clouds, but the humidity is 95%. Yuck. Thunderstorms this afternoon possible. Had one yesterday afternoon. We received another 0.54" of rain. Sure wish more plants were in the ground to enjoy it. Probably too wet to plant today, but we'll see. Need to make a dump run - maybe today.
