I've bought 15 books in the past week. I have a problem.

    The library is your friend.

I guess these are all "reference materials" in one way or another. They're mostly books on martial arts, collections of interviews or writings of people, some philosophy books, and some acupuncture/chinese medicine books. I like to own hard copies of these materials so I can write my own notes or underline them and reference back whenever I need to. I'm a nerd.

I'm driving back home from FL today, Can anyone along I-24 in TN from Chattanooga to Nashville, and I-65 from Nashville to Indy let me know how bad the roads are? I'll be hitting Chatt around probably around 2 am...

Thanks guys. As of now I think I am going to avoid 24 and head over to birmingham and up to nashville, if weather permits. If it stills seems sketchy once I hos birmingham I will go through Memphis and up 57.
Made chilaquiles for my grandma... tried my best to make them mild but I was unsuccessful. After 4 or so bites her nose started running and I had to tell her she didn't have to eat it.

Just a store bought verde. I think it was the soyrizo that made it too spicy for her. A few weeks ago i used El Captain to make some and they were phenomenal

I don't usually make a big deal of celebs passing on, but David Bowie hits me in a soft spot. From being the soundtrack to many of my days skateboaring as a teenager, to belting out Life on Mars when I was in a singin' mood... He made it feel ok to be a weird kid that never really fit the norm. At least he did for me all those years. *tear*
What was the highlight of your year?

Getting a job i genuinely enjoy, tasting Carolina Reaper powder for the 1st time... and having coffee a few times with an ex-girlfriend.
Thanks for an excellent question. It was a very good year.

Probably paying off my student loans! Going to the stanley cup final games and seeing the cubs beat the cards in the nlds (and getti g a ball from that game) is pretty high up there, I had a pretty great year in general.
my dad and i decided no xmas presents this year, instead he's gunna fly to FL while I'm down there and we got tix on the glass for the blackhawks games in both Tampa and Miami. i think it ends up being the same price as tix in the glass for 1 hawks game... airfare included.
On the train home from work I got this crazy craving for chilaquiles. I knew they'd be cold and gross if I tried to get them on my walk home from the train station so I made due with what I had in my kitchen... Dee Roo El Capitan, Havarti cheese, a fried egg, and blue corn chips. Heaven.

Sounds good to me. They key for me is it has to be a saucy casserole type dish otherwise it's just soggy chips.
my sister challenged me to drinking game mortal kombat... she's drunk.

I'd never purposely lose a MK match unless it was to my nephew! Also I had an hour and a half drive home so I couldn't lose on purpose.
One of my favorite sit down Mexican restaurants burned down today :( Their cheap and delicious lengua plate me and my friends numerous times in college.
Congratz Mets fans! Our young'ns just couldnt hang with y'all. Hope the Mets go all the way (unless there is a miracle for the Cubs)

It is infact over salty, the Mets swept the Cubs last night. All things considered though what a great season for such a young Chicago team. It is the first time that I can say Next year... and actually feel confident about it!

Right on Raw, what an amazing season by our young cubs !! They far exceeded my expectations for 2015. Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, AND CY Young Winner PLUS 100 wins including post season. I've never been so hopeful for "Next Year". Hope I'm still around to see next year. Cheerz !
I photographed a Chopped champion chef today, all the food looked and smelled great, but I didn't get to eat any so it was pretty much 3 hours of torture.

Eventually, I came home first and unfortunately watched the last 2 innings of the cubs game and then walked to a mexican place to get some food
