Ghost Peppers - As Seen on TV

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone every purchased their ghost pepper being offered from As Seen on TV? If so, how did the plants turn out? I know it's late, but I want to add this plant to my collection and it says it grows in 10 to 15 days. Thanks for any advice!

Please Help: Why Did My Peppers Die?

Thanks for your observation. When the plants are older, such as actually producing peppers, are they as sensitive to overwater/underwatering? I definitely plan to give them the right amount (once I get the hang of it), but it's good to know for future reference.

Please Help: Why Did My Peppers Die?

Thank you for your reply. When I first tried to grow peppers, I believe they died from dampening off so when the leaves started to wilt this time, I thought I had overwatered again. What you described, definitely happened to my seedlings. I'll do some research to find a better mix and try...

Please Help: Why Did My Peppers Die?

Thank you all for your replies. The first time I tried to grow peppers, I ended up watering them too much and found out that this caused the dampening off. Now it looks like I did the opposite. Ugh! It's just so strange to me that the seedlings were looking really healthy and then started dying...

Please Help: Why Did My Peppers Die?

Thanks for your advice and I didn't realize the soil needed to be filtered. So with bottom watering, I add water to the tray underneath my planting container and then refill it whenever the water is all gone? Is there still a chance of dampening off doing it this way?

Please Help: Why Did My Peppers Die?

I'm using a rapidtest moisture meter and I stuck it about halfway down the soil. Do you think I should have gone all the way to the bottom? I'll test the meter out like you suggest. Thanks.

seeds Question about Orange Habanero Seedling

Hi all, I had an orange habanero seedling germinate a few days ago, but it has not moved since. The stem has not grown longer and the leaves have not opened up. The seedling has a heat mat and a grow light above and I'm keeping the soil moist so I don't know why it would stop growing. Is...

Good question, but I don't think I can wash that away without hurting the plants because I'm clumsy. Guess I'll stick with my original plan to keep them safe. Thanks for the response!

    seeds Question about Transferring Seedlings

Hi all, When I initially planted my peppers I dropped about three seeds in each cell with the intent of just keeping the most robust one. I changed my mind and now want to keep all of the seeds that have germinated. Is there a way to safely separate the seedlings (they are close together in the...
