My 25w cfl is at 5000k. Supposedly thats what natural sunlight is supposed to be at but I'm not sure. If the LED's turn out to not be doing anything then I can always switch them out for some more 25w cfl's. the one I got is putting out a nice amount of light for its wattage. LED lights is...
thats good to hear. I do have some 5-1-1 fish emulsion and i ordered some 0-10-10 liquid fertilizer. hope fully that will be all i need once my plants have been flushed.
just to point out one thing, I have had no problems with my plants with only the 3 lights i have been using. I hear alot of people talking about how they use 200 to 400 watt bulbs of different varieties and yet my two plants have been thriving on the bulbs I have, (except for the minor nute...
also the light source is one 24w full spectrum cfl and two 2w LED red/blue spectrum lights with 8 1/2 inch reflectors that are all about a foot above the plant itself. could the lighting be a problem? the rest of the plant looks quite healthy except for the top leaves.
The purple color on the leaves are from the grow lights I have that are tuned to the red/blue spectrum. I may have too much nitro in the pot. I used a miracle grow fert that has a npk of 15-30-15 and I hoped I diluted it enough that it was only at 1/4 strength. I also added some bone meal but...
The leaves on the top of my trinidad scorpion plants are looking a little strange. Here are some pics of the plants. Let me know if you can tell me whats going on with them. I'm stumped.
well I have been leaving them alone and the leaves on the top of the plant are looking kinda funny. Here are some pics of what they look like. Any ideas as to whats going on?
no. I didn't add any of those. I just added some bone meal to increase the phosphate but am having a hard time finding any potash around my area nurseries. I'm afraid now that if i add any more stuff to the pot, it may cause some adverse reactions in the plant.
I will locate some potash and give that a shot. I know this fert is pretty high in nitrogen still but also is high in the other two. seems like almost all ferts I find are too high in nitro and not so much in the potash and phosphates. Its annoying.
I couldn't find any of the ferts you guys listed around my area but i did buy some miracle gro bloom booster. its numbers are fairly high. It's at 15-30-15. but everything else i looked at all had too much nitrogen for my taste. Hopefully this does the trick. Thanks for all the helpful tips and...
I have a ceiling fan that is close to them and the leaves on the plants are definitely moving so there is air circulation. just to be safe, I'm buying a small soft tip artisan paintbrush to pollinate. I think i am going to switch to a low nitro fert and see if that helps. any suggestions on a...
I have a problem!! I have two very nice healthy looking trinidad scorpion butch T pepper plants growing in a large pot inside my house. They are about 2 and a half feet tall and are looking great except for one problem. The opened flowers and now the unopened buds are falling off!! I really...
