health Spots on 7 pot leaves

Hello, not long ago, I had a nasty infestation on my most productive indoor grown chinense plant, which is a red 7 pot from Neil. White little larvae of small flies were all over the leaves. I managed to get rid of them with the use of some pesticides, but approximately two weeks later, small...

Chilli ID - seeds bought as Red Savina

Hello and thanks for the picture! I've read in a thread that someone here grows 2 variants of the Congo trinidad. One with elongated pods and one with more 'blocky' peppers. Yours surely look different, but I'll search for pics of the blockier one......maybe they will look more similar to...

Chilli ID - seeds bought as Red Savina

Hello Patrick and thanks for your opinion....... I just want to add that the whole plant is small, is in a relatively small pot, these are the first pods the plant produced and they were formed in the beginning of March. Can´t these facts leed to the small pod size? I don´t want to...

Chilli ID - seeds bought as Red Savina

Thanks for all who contributed! For now: Trinidad congo red - 3 votes Everything else - 0 votes :) I remembered a recent thread about that variety and after seeing some of the posted pics, they truly look quite similar.... No, I haven´t tasted one yet, those pods in the picture are...

    help identify a chilli

Hello, I don´t like the standard Tabasco sauce at all....too much vinegar, too little heat. Tabasco habanero sauce on the other hand is much better. It´s not crazy hot, but hotter than the original with MUCH better taste (subjective opinion)... If you can find some, give it a try...

Chilli ID - seeds bought as Red Savina

Hello, I need the help of some more experienced members on this one..... As the title of the topic suggests, I bought the seeds as Red Savina. The problem is, the pods look different than pictures of Red Savinas on the internet. I decided to put some pics here and ask, if this is truly a Red...

    My nose is on fire...

Hello, sorry for the off topic post, I just want to apologize from MegaSpokaneMan. I accidentally clicked with my mouse while turning to see who knocked the door and I ended up unintentionally rating this topic for 2 stars.... :banghead: .......sorry..... Best wishes!

    SR? Brainstrain?

Wow Judy.......that yellow Brain Strain looks fantastic.....if you´ll add it to the website, I´ll order it for sure next year. I´m wondering, if the heat level is at least remotedly close to the level of the original red Brain Strain. If yes, you have something.... :) By the way, thanks a...

    vendor Ordering Pepper Seeds

Hello, I received my seeds from Judy in 9 days (from the US to Europe). She´s a very generous young woman... Outside of the three varieties I´d ordered, I´ve received lots of Yellow T. scorpion, Dorset naga and CAP 539 seeds as a gift. I highly recommend her.

annuum Is this a Purple Serrano?

I might try stressing the plant with unripe pods on it with less water somewhere down the road, but it´s hard for me not to water a plant when the leaves are wilting and have that strange, soft consistency...I might try it though... :)

    growing Moruga pepper plants

Wow.....that´s not simply a plant....that´s a tree! Makes that 7 gallon container look tiny... :) Very nice!

annuum Is this a Purple Serrano?

Interesting....I thought the variation in heat isn´t as big as you describe, at least not on the same plant, in the same conditions, in the middle of the season. Well, I think I have lots to learn... :) Good thing we live in the age of internet....it makes learning much easier and much more...

annuum Is this a Purple Serrano?

Thanks for the valuable input Geeme, yes, I checked your link. As I mentioned in a thread about seed sources, pics on 2 sites with a database of peppers match my pod shape, but on other sites, I´ve seen pictures with much less pointy pods. Still, this is probably normal variation. What made me...

annuum Is this a Purple Serrano?

Thanks! :) If the ripe pods from the second harvest will have as little heat as today´s pods, I´d say maybe Black Hungarian. If they will be hotter, then Purple Jalapeno will be a possibility.....or even some unusually shaped Purple Serrano.....who knows...They were free and I had lots of fun...

    vendor Ordering Pepper Seeds

I also can confirm THSC guys are very nice. After my order I was communicating with Luke via mail about some details... I didn´t receive any extra, but every bag contained a bit more seeds than advertised (mostly like 13 instead of 10). Judy from pepperlover also replied to my mail the same...

annuum Is this a Purple Serrano?

Well, I don´t have any ripe pods yet. Despite of this, I was curious, so today I tried some unripe ones. Approximately 1/3 of the pods was still green, the rest was purple/black. I wouldn´t say they were very tasty, but that might be because they were not quite ready. The heat was...

    vendor Ordering Pepper Seeds

Hello, I´d placed an order on Monday in the morning, and in the evening I received an email from Judy. She said, she´ll send my seeds the next day. Maybe your mails are for some reason lost in the junk box of her mail? This happened to me repeatedly in the past.....(not with pepperlover). Best...

    vendor Ordering Pepper Seeds

Hello, my plants are setting fruit, so I can report that bouth varieties I paid for (Kung Pao, Hot Portugal) have grown true. I was not sure about the Purple Serranos sent as a gift. I was not sure, so I started a topic ( Thread ). It seems that the plant looks like it could be a Serrano, but...
