heres another, great resource. http://cmg.colostate.edu/gardennotes/216.pdf check it out talks about grass clippings to.. "When placed on the soil surface as a mulch, wood/bark chips do not tie-up soil nitrogen. However, incorporating wood/bark chips into a soil can create a nitrogen...

Do you use fully composted pine bark, or big chunks of it not fully decomposed? I will quote some stuff from this site. http://www.cliviasociety.org/growing_media.php "An inadequately composted pine bark will still be a bit reddish, will often smell of pine and will still get hot when in a...

    Some garden photos + problem

Hey bob is that tree bark I see on the ground? I put my bets on nitrogen deficiency. Most bio-wood materials will soak up nitrogen, unless it’s broken down all the way. I would recommend another kind of mulch, like lawn mower grass clippings. Benefits from using grass clippings for mulch 1...

indoor Question about growing Bhut Jolokias indoors.

Interesting. I will give this a try. Red doesn’t seem to be a hard color to find in the average fluorescent. I have found if you only use red it makes the plant grow more stems then leafs (making the plant to tall).

    overwintering Naga Morich Winter Project

10-1-07 Nagas looking really nice, not bad for under a month from start. Some of them are allmost ready for transplant. Soon I will choose 5 or 6 of my best nagas to keep under the lights. The rest I will give away, or put in the window. Ok I have added couple more 24inch fluorescent lights...

Very nice job, those are very bushy, looks like they are doing really well under those fluorescents. My plants under lights are doing better then the ones in southern window.

I agree. My plants are doing very well in about that color spectrum.. I will add more lights as my plants get bigger, don’t want to overpower them all at once.. so far so good with my indoor peppers, check em out.. http://www.thehotpepper.com/showthread.php?p=37517#post37517

indoor Question about growing Bhut Jolokias indoors.

It all depends what color spectrum you give, and how much of it. Reflectors are good way of directing wasted light to the grow area. Never say never. I have read many posts on other boards, and seen in done many times. I have seen many guys in the UK grow peppers with a completely controlled...

    Black Pearl Pepper

Yeah they don’t taste to great, but looks make up for it. I have a friend that has the same pepper outside, some reason his leafs are green I think it has something to do with fertilizers, he said it was black when he first got it. I ate one of those peppers at an early stage, and seem to have...

Well ok here’s the best picture I could get from this old camera. I think what’s actually going on, is just a little too much organic fertilizer in this soil. We will see after I dry out the soil little bit more, I will flush them out, and see what that does. 9-27-07
