A different size of earplug did the trick - no more leak and a much more pleasant ride for it. It was hot out there today; stoplights suck.

Had the bike in for break in servicing today. No more break in restrictions! I can really open her up now. I wore earplugs today - much better, but still annoyingly loud. It's not so bad off the bike; I don't think I'd be cited for noise or upset anybody too badly. But it's SO loud riding...

This captures the sound, but not the volume. It's really only bothersome when cruising at speed. It's a 30mi ride to the dealer Thursday morning for break in service, will wear earplugs.

They do that. I keep the revs low around the neighborhood, though, and I'm gone in seconds. I'm more concerned for my own experience. I don't want to have to wear earplugs, but I definitely need them with these. I think I've identified a replacement, but now I don't want to spend the money...

Lol, you're fine. The seat looks better with me on it. I think this exhaust is too loud. I was so relieved to be rid of the stock mufflers' "pffft" I didn't care. Gotta find something else.

Thanks! Maybe some day. Nice seats are really expensive. I don't care for the tractor seats, but I'm always on the lookout for new stuff. I'd have to find something really cool to want to change it now, though - I'd have to create a new frame closure.

I never ride in the rain. It's unpleasant. A big fat rain drop in the throat at 70mph doesn't feel good. Only thing worse is a June bug. Usually it's just one June bug, though.

Exhaust by RC Components. It was an unholy bitch pulling off the stock cans. New pipes are loud, but sound great. Next will be intake and remapping, but I'm going to put that off for a while.

The one I have is cacophonous and dangerously hot. Maybe it's defective. It does pump air.

That's cool, give it a shot. Wherever you put that air pump, make sure no pets or children can get at it. I mean it when I say the thing gets hot - it will literally burn you if you touch it during operation. I've got eight 4W dual output air pumps hanging in my tent. That's been the coolest...

Great if you can stand the noise. Also, those things get very hot and will heat up the tent like crazy.
