Top 10 hottest peppers - Help needed

Well, this is kind of a fun idea.  :)  I have a few suggestions to consider for your list:   1. Judy's Brown Moruga. I think this might be the hottest variety that I have tried.    2. Primotalii. Johnny Scoville said that this may be the hottest pepper that he has tried, and that guy has eaten a...

What are some good tasting ornamental varieties?

+1 for Aji Omnicolor, Fish, and Yaki Blue.   That Orange Fish variant looks interesting. I have been thinking of growing that one myself.     I am a bit surprised to see Black Pearl coming up in a thread about good tasting ornamental varieties.   I found the pods to be small, seedy, fairly...

seeds Black seeds/pepper inside ghost pepper, am I in trouble?

Here is what the USDA has to say about moldy food. There is even a handy chart at the bottom of the article for the TL, DR...

What do you use your super hots for?

Scorpion powder is good, and a little bit goes a long way in food. Also, if you smoke the peppers before you dry them you can make powder that adds a nice smoky flavor to food as well as heat.

breeding Bell pepper and Banana pepper hybrid?

Not that I know of. Wikipedia estimates 50,000 varieties in existence https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Capsicum_cultivars#targetText=There%20are%20five%20major%20species,are%20several%20%22taxonomic%20varieties%22., so that would be a helluva long list anyway.   There are a number of...

breeding Bell pepper and Banana pepper hybrid?

Does it exist? Since they are both pretty common peppers, I would imagine that it has likely happened before, either intentionally or by accidental cross-pollination.   Is it possible to make? Sure. Bell and Banana peppers are the same species after all. They are both Capsicum Annuum. So it...

    indoor Indoor reapers

Yes, peppers are perennials and will keep going year round if you provide them with optimal growing conditions. That means temperature, nutes, and lighting all need to be good. A full sized, mature Reaper plant is going to need plenty of light if you want it to keep fruiting indoors. So you will...

Does anyone here know if there such thing as a "chocolate scorpion"?

Lemon Lime Scorpion seems to be a fairly new variety, so I would imagine that it is likely still unstable. My best guess is that the color change is likely the result of instability in the strain. Mislabeled seeds or accidental cross-pollination are also possible. But if AJ Drew sent you seeds...

    Help with disease ID

It doesn't really look like a virus to me. The silvery patches are damage from the thrips sucking juices out of the leaves. The black spots are thrip poop.    They can spread quickly, so I would get after them right away. I have found pyrethrin to be effective against thrips. I would consider...

    Mystery pepper

I would be cautious about jumping to any conclusions, since unstable, early-stage crosses can sometimes defy our expectations. I once tried a Scotch Bonnet cross that had Poblano level heat at most, and no Chinense taste or aroma that I could detect. Do you happen to know what variety yours...

    I.D These "Reapers" please?

Yes, it appears to be an annuum variety. Maybe a Thai pepper variety, from the look of it.
