    Caribbean Red vs Red Savina

Caribbean Red was first sold by Tomato Growers (part of description: "Dried samples of Caribbean Red measured 445,000 Scoville units whereas regular habanero tested at about 260,000 Scovilles".) and Red Savina are in my eyes identical.   I grew them side by side and couldn´t see and taste any...

chinense the debate about the reaper and primo

I´ve been growing Primo (seeds from Primo) and Reaper (seeds from Puckerbutt) side by side in 2013   Absolutely no difference...plants look the same...pods have the same size, shape and heat.   The only difference I observed was that the Reaper seeds were contaminated with about 25% of Not True...

    Brown Bhutlah ?

I see this effect with nearly all brown varieties of C. chinense Pods that get more sunlight turn to red much earlier. Could depend on light and elevated temps. We have constant daytime temps of around 30-32°C = 86-90F since many weeks and most time no clouds   Some C. annuum, like Chile de Onza...

    Brown Bhutlah ?

I´m sorry, but nature is NOT cosmetics.   All inmature pepper pods contain chlorophyll that is degraded during the ripening process.   Please read: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3794819/ or search for brown in text of the article

    CGN 2150xxx

Why do you ask for pictures if you know the site? Last growout 2014 gave only small variations in pod shape, so I wouldn´t say it´s unstable. Could be that the variation persists, as many C. chinense have pod shape variations. Peter

    storage Freeze-drying peppers

There are companies that freeze-dry bell peppers, but in large scale, i.e.: http://www.freeze-dry-foods.com/en/ The equipment is ultraexpensive and even small scale pilot plants are unpayable for the hobbist. I though about buying a second hand small scale machine, but you end up at +10.000$...
