Not a pepper, These are growing out of my worm castings...?

Too early to tell because cots are all very similar. These guys here look just like peppers for example, but they grow up to be very long lived vines with pitchers on them. http://www.carnivorousplants.org/howto/GrowingGuides/Images/N_trunc_sprouts.jpg

I think it's a little over six months old but it was slow for four of them because no light+aphids happened. Lower branch point(1 of 2) with no spikes http://i.imgur.com/Z5wCJzL.jpg Main growth/branch point with spikes: http://i.imgur.com/rbwdC9Z.jpg Solanum quitoense is acting similarly.

Something's wrong with my prickly nightshade. It's only making murder spikes on the top growth point, not all of them.

Happy birthday!   Also I don't think it's a coincidence that hot sauce day is on Scoville's birthday.

    My carnivorous plants [Pictures heavy]

No. They're on their third year now. First year with them being out that late though.   THP doesn't alert me when people reply to the threads, so just quote posts if you want a response in a reasonable length of time.

    Anyone growing dendrobium orchids?

I have four Dendrobiums. I was given them as a challenge by the greenhouse owner though, so they're way, way, way too little to be producing flowers. Three of them are on three canes and about eight inches tall, and the fourth is two canes and about three inches tall. I grow Calopogon, Aerangis...

    Got Religion?

I never see them when it's cold. Ever. In the spring though they show up all the time.     Edit: One time though, when I was in high school, I saw something like what as in the video. It made me wish I lived somewhere without trees.

Way back in July I had a purple jalapeno that wasn't ripening. Eventually I just laughed and said any time this year would be nice. And sure enough, with nine hours left in the year, the pepper is ripe now.

Most of my house is fine at like 60. The room where I keep the plants for the winter has like 15 windows and 1 heating vent, so it gets cold. Really doesn't feel like 48 in there though.

48 degrees. Indoors. Peppers are fine, other plants don't like.

Would this be safe to spray on my peppers?

Yes it's fine. Just gonna say that sulfur dust is probably much faster on aphids though, but for the love of God do not mix sulfur with neem.

    flavor Tastiest pepper?

Trinidad perfume, but then again I have a hard time with any pepper because of the texture. They were the easiest to handle though.

Why not cross a variety again?

Oh they do. They definitely do. Genes are recombined when they reproduce, so you get quite a lot of variability even with two stable parents. Following the cross won't get you to the same place, especially by the time the cross becomes stable.

Sorry, haven't been paying attention to the thread.     Yes there is. One of them has really wide, flat leaves and is also a lot taller than the other ones. I'll post a picture of it soon.
