    got these from a friend

They vary so much that I couldn't tell. I don't think bhuts or moriches are stable.   The naga morches I grew from pepperlover looked like this:

Have you ever seen leaves like these on a pepper?

I think so too. It still has its cotyledons, so I don't think it's sick.

Doesn't look like the naga moriches I grew. It does have a naga look too. Kind of looks like a bhut jolokia.

Anyone else have fun sharing their peppers???

Nobody will eat chiles I give them, and they tremble when I ask if they want a pepper.

    Is this normal?

Yeah, I had to use nitrile over latex for that reason.

    Is this normal?

That's just water, and I've noticed that in quite a few varieties. The water does make the capsaicin go through the gloves easier. Capsaicin oil is yellow and much thicker.

    breeding Question on Hybrids/phenotypes

It's F6. It's probably recessive genes if the others look uniform and it is the odd one out. Recessive genes rule out dominant genes, so it could be more stable than the others hypothetically.   Genetic mutations are extremely rare and mostly go unnoticed. It usually takes more than one...

hybrid Crossing Peppers - What are you mixing? Success stories!

I test them out with 10 or so seeds with different species. I have a c.chinese x c. baccatum that isn't working out for me, so I'm germinating 2 pods worth of seeds. There actually should be no infertility. My c. chinese has some c. annuum in it from a cross done with pimenta de Neyde, but...

Unknown pepper, was labeled bhutlah brown SLP- from SLP

It can't be a pure bhutlah. The purple is from capsicum annuum. I suspect it crossed with a pimenta de Neyde, because it has strong c. chinese characteristics. What is possible is a bhutlah got accidentally crossed with a pimenta de Neyde though.

hybrid Crossing Peppers - What are you mixing? Success stories!

There are different reasons for incompatibility (size of pollen can be another). However, simplifying as you did explains well enough for practical application imo.

    Fatalii...Anybody NOT a fan?

I'm wondering if this happened to me when I grew fataliis and SB MoAs. The fataliis didn't taste good at all. Tasted much like a yellow bhut, which also didn't taste good. The SB MoAs were a let down, but I'm giving them another chance this year. However, my 7 pot yellows were absolutely...

    Joe or Ed Carolina Reaper

Both look right. Just grow em out I guess. I wouldn't count on cotyledons. They very from plant to plant to a degree. However, they are certainly c. chinese.
