Honestly it is super easy to do.

Honestly I don't do much with it now, it's more like a tree than a garden plant. It gets a few handfuls of slow release fertilizer a couple times a year, and I have it in a spot where it gets afternoon shade in the summer. The biggest problem is that iguanas love to climb it and eat the top...
Thanks, we did fine, and didn't face the brunt of the storm like the lower Keys did.
Just a lot of tree related damage here.
On year-round gardening, thats not really the case here, we have a fall-through spring gardening season if we have a warm winter, as summer (may-september) is too hot...

And herein lies the problem. Guinness sells their books and gets their $$$ whether it is legitimate or not.
Also not just seeds, but sauces, candies, tshirts, powders, spices, chips, etc...

AJ your article on the Reaper is one of my go to's on the pepper hype phenomenon.
What I don't understand is if Guinness allows the applicants to pick and process their own samples, or if the Guinness officials oversee that aspect. IMO Guinness should handle everything from sample selection to...

All you would really need to do is a single test, and post the results online and get some marketing $$$ behind you, create some buzz in the YouTubeosphere, do a web video series with your "new mystery pepper", and charge $20 for a bottle of generic limited edition Mystery Pepper hot sauce with...
This renewed interest in the World's Hottest Pepper has me wondering...Hypothetically speaking of course, If I were to take a batch of, say Aji Dulce, and add 25 drops of Pure Evil to the peppers during the dehydrating process... Then sent these into a lab for SHU testing... Would the lab...
I did the same thing, except I used hot glue for the seams. It works great and remains flexible. Just another option.

There are lots of non-hot Caribbean seasoning peppers available that have been grown for at least a hundred years. Habanada is just successful marketing.

Yep that looks about the same as mine did. I got 3-5 seeds per pod iirc. One pod had only a single non-viable seed.
How many of those crosses did you do that you can sacrifice an unripened one? I typically do only one or two.
