tutorial A Simple Guide to Topping and Pruning

Most pepper plants I've ever grown never produced the best their first year, it takes 2-3 years before they're in their prime.  Americans and Europeans are less likely to grow peppers as perennials and more likely to treat them like potato plants. Most areas that grow large pepper crops treat...

    Hello from Norway

I'm also in view of the Northern Lights, welcome to THP :mouthonfire:   Growing chiles isn't new to me but growing them in this climate is.  Before I moved here I had already been growing indoors for a few years fortunately.

    Orange Manzano

I'm growing these this season, I have two going that I started in October that are doing great.  I have a suspicion they'll do fine in the summer here.  I've never grown C. pubescens before and I'm looking forward to a potential challenge.

seeds Seedling setting flowers too early.

it has been some time since I saw this thread and I note now that plucking annuum blooms may be related more to grow season.  In a long warm grow season like in Virginia it's not a problem to prune more often because the plant has plenty of time to do its thing all season.  Pruning and nipping...

    The Runt

Personally if I see runts I cull them before they get that size but since you've already grown it that much might as well find out I think.

    Helvete's 2016 Organic Alaskan Grow

I repotted the old Yucatan white habanero today and got (most of) a video.  This plant is a 3rd season Bonchi that I mailed to myself across the continent.   https://youtu.be/PlncgQxMukM

First time cheap-o setup. Would love any thoughts/criticisms!

8 days is a bit long for baby plants, you could probably slow the drying out process by putting a dome over them somehow but otherwise I'd recommend having someone water them for you.  When plants are at the stage in your pics I check them for drying out 2x per day, once is probably good.  I've...

seeds New to growing from seeds.

Everyone has had good points so far especially take the net off the pucks when you transplant them.  The peat pucks often develop a little bit of a green slime to them, it's harmless and not worth worrying about.

    Media centers for PC/Linux

I'm actually very impressed with the WMP that comes with Windows 10, it's a very big difference from the one in 7 and 8 and can finally play FLAC and other lossless files.  I normally run that or VLC depending on which I have open, I like VLC for videos because you can sync a bad audio track and...

    Your top five peppers

I almost added Murupi Amarela because it has such a unique flavor, I grew it a few years ago and loved it but wasn't terribly impressed with its productivity.
