    Listing your phone number...

I have no problem with people calling me. If I can talk I will, once they figure out how to reattach the ear I talked off they might call back.

hybrid Crosses; a question for the master growers.

I have a friend that said he crossed a bhut with lettuce and got spicy lettuce that year. I let him run with it for a month or so til I pointed out his cross was not from growing them close, it was from cutting then with the same knife. Grow the seeds.

    Water in Pods?

The plant stores water in the pod, so the capsaisin fairies can drink after making pods hot. They won't be as hot if the fairies haven't made their last visit, which is when they always drink the rest of the water.

    breeding crossing question

Good chance since bees aren't highly OCD by design. I would save seed from both. Years ago I had a pepper intertwining in another plant. Saved the seed. Most so far no dice but a few I gave a friend ended up being crosses. So I am slowly working through the rest in hopes of finding another...

I have a ten foot ring with a six foot ring in the center. Did a line around the outer ring bed. Did russets in the back. Pulled them already. A little early but still got 15 pounds. Next year they will be in longer. Sweet potatoes still going.

So I decided to plant a ring of carrots this year. At this point have got around 19 pounds of carrots over the last 3 weekends of doing a section each weekend. Most have been processed and to the freezer. Last weekend I made my first candied carrots and surprised myself. Next time they with have...

    Flower drop in isolation bags

At around the 83 degree mark you need to tap that plant Chris. Get the pollen moving. Come on man you can't let that plant be an old spinster, she can get herself off without some buzzing bees.

    New grow box build.

Mine is hellish more rough but all with wood I had laying around and the mirrors I got for free. Been using it for 5 years now I think. I used 2 inch drywall screws to make the "pegs" for shelf support and like you said moving one affects the one below. All-in-all it works great, sits at 85...

    Pepper People are the Best

Just wanted to jump on here to say thanks to Romy6.   Thanks James for the box of peppers from your harvest a couple weeks ago. I got to burn while trying some peppers I never had before and reinforce the fear some friends have when I hand them a somewhat harmless looking pepper.   YOU ROCK!
