    ⌘ Spicegeist 2013 ⌘

Another fan here of the Bhut x PdN.  The pod looks brown in the photo.  If it truly is brown, is that the ripe color or has it been brown from the time it formed?

Operation Golden Garden 2014: Let's Get Started!

Thanks for the update, Matt.  Don't you just love it when baby pods hint at the desired phenotype right out of the gate?  TSMB and TSMB yellow looking like they're on the right path in life.  The other pods are looking fine, too.  Especially the 7 Pot and the Douglah.    Those smoked chiles look...

vincent's 2013 season ***10/22/13 SUPER HUGE MEGA 40ish PICTURE UPDATE***

Great looking pods, Vincent!  I'll echo the comments on the Goat.  Very nice.  The White Bhuts, YBBD, and finally, the start of the proper color on the Serpent!

KiNGDeNNiZ's 2013 still with a few healthy plants and pods

Excellent update, King!  The calyx on that BBG is huge!  Pretty freakin' cool.  Glad to see all the color there.  Nice sized Fatalii and the Orange Brain is awesome!

    Stefan_W's 2013 Pods A-Ripenin'! Glog

If you want some baccatums that are not so bushy, consider the Bishop's Crown, Aji Pineapple, Blonde, Aji Amarillo, and/or Malawi Peppadew (Piquante).  My Omnicolor sprawls everywhere.  The others I listed grow mostly upright.

Stickman's 2013 Glog - Time To Pull The Plug on 2013

Man, your plants are filling in great, and getting pods of size!  Those KK pods are definitely getting there.  Yellow 7 coming along.  And somehow with my last comment I missed seeing that hot box of goodness from Jaime!  Most excellent.    The growth of those Omnicolors is crazy, isn't it? ...

Trippa's 2013-2014 ...its weird and wonderful ... for now..

Having a white variety is awesome.  I have a few white varieties growing, but White Fatalii must be incredibly rare.  Awesome choice!

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

Thanks, Paul!  Always nice to have you stop by.  Are you making powders, sauces, anything else?  I know I spent all day yesterday and a good part of the morning today processing a lot of frozens and some fresh.  14 dehydrator trays later, I still have 5 one-gallon bags of pods that wouldn't...

condiment Cocina de Perú: pasta aji amarillo, salsa a la Huancaína

Thank you for posting this.  I only found one recipe online and it said to boil three times.  I thought it was a typo.  You confirmed it correct.  Going to try this tomorrow to make some Aji Amarillo paste!

Trippa's 2013-2014 ...its weird and wonderful ... for now..

Awesome, Trippa!  Great variety you have chosen.  So happy Rick sent you some seed for the Sepia Serpent!  Quite possibly the hottest friggen thing I've ever tasted!  Loads of placenta and puddles of oil inside the pods.  It should grow true for you.  Since it is an F4, I grew out five plants...

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

I've not had the "true" Peppadews.  When I ordered the seed last year, RFC called them Malawi Peppadew.  Now he calls them Malawi Piquante.  His website states that it is not the same pepper as the "trademarked" pepper, but to him they taste the same, FWIW.  Whatever it is, I like it!  ;)

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

Hahaha!  I put it up there since I thought it might give a few some laughs!  I decided to wear something this year since I really gained nothing last year by inhaling powders everytime I took the cover off the grinder.  Just coughing, sneezing, runny eyes, and powder in my hair.  That's just...

    GA GH's Garden 2013

Dude, it's all looking fantastic!  Awesome ripe WDT!  Funny you posted the Bali Naga.  I'm growing it, as well (freebie from Grant, right?).  It gets to be a pretty tall plant.  Seems to be a frutescens.  Very productive.  I'll try to get a pic of mine up soon.

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

I really like the Malawi Peppadews.  I too got my seed from RFC.  I don't know about a tomato/pepper cross, but it's definitely a baccatum.  Sweet with mild heat.  I've never had the pickled ones so I can't comment there.  The plant is very productive, but the pods take forever to ripen.   I...

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

Thank you for stopping in, Bonnie, and thanks for the kind words.  Long day of processing more for the dehydrator.  :)   Love Nutella!  Hate to waste it on a rat.  ;)  Seriously, if the Velveeta doesn't do the trick, I'll give the Nutella a try.

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

Thanks for stopping in, Greg, and appreciate the kind words!  You're right about the pepper dust.  I didn't get it as badly as you (scary!), but I was hacking, sneezing, etc.    With your plants in 10 gal containers and your growing talent, your grow and harvests are going to pass by mine in...

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

Thanks, King.  Believe it or not, every one of those photos is a unique group of chiles.  Before I harvested the morning of the 4th, I cleared off all the chiles I photographed the evening before and washed them in the sink.  Then I put the morning harvest on the same tables/chair/bench.   ...

    DocNrock's 2013 Glog - 7/11/13

Thank you, my friend!  Today I will be chopping and loading the dehydrator again.  Just emptied the freezer of frozen pods from earlier this year.  Those plus what I just harvested...holy crap!  I'm going to be processing all day and possibly tomorrow, as well!    Keep it green, bro!

RocketMan's 2013 Glog; In The House!!

Sounds like the move is going well for you, Bill.  So happy to hear it.  Looks like the plants are adjusting.  Soon we're going to see some hot sauce magic coming from that sauce room!

    Windchicken 2013

Gary, just got a chance to check out your glog.  Wow, is all I can say!  Awesome grow you have going on there.  Impressive variety, large and healthy looking plants, pods ripening.  Good stuff!
