    Even with a successful germination, this isn't the type of Growdown I would have ever hoped for.  I would even vote against this current Growdown if there aren't considerably more entrants.   For the record, my lone germination was achieved in straight Happy Frog potting soil on a heat mat.

    Indoors, pre-transplant to outdoors: fish emulsion, Alaska Morbloom (to add P-K to fish fert), kelp extract, maybe cal-mag   Outdoors: animal/poultry manures, cal-mag, alfalfa meal, bone meal

    Day #14...I'm feeling inadequate....   On a positive note, I germinated my first rocoto seed of any kind, a Montufar.  Took 23 days.  I had already given up.

    Today, I noticed that the plants seemed a bit large for the #1 pots.  So, I looked under the St. Pierre to discover roots growing out the bottom.  Pantano Romanesco had roots circling the inside bottom.  Transplanted to #2 pots today.  We'll see if the fert/cal-mag have any effect on the curling...

    Definitely adding calcium/fert next watering.  I'm mistakenly treating them like peppers.   That is one brute bell pepper plant in the background.
