    works for you but doesn't work for me. i did some pickling today and used measuring cups and and measuring spoons to follow the recipes i was using. sometimes i "wing it" and do what i think will work for me. you can keep using your percentages as you like if it makes you feel good.

    i think if you are a baker and use their "math" and are used to it that is fine for you. you can do the same with grams. i literally never see recipes online that use percentages. if it works for you that`s great. the first response you got in this thread nailed it. best answer. i`m not trying...

    today i did refrigerator pickles and pickled red cabbage. i`ve done the cukes many times but the first time for the red cabbage. i did pickled red onion a couple of weeks ago which came out great.  the cukes weren't pickling cucumbers, they were regular type but had too many on hand and wanted...

    azjon, math hurts my head. i know what 30 grams of habanero is. i don`t know how much 11.4% of habanero is. percentages makes things more complicated.

    hope you are feeling better real soon. i downsized this year also. last year i had 15 or 16 plants and this year only 4 plants. i also have some tomatoes going too but less than last year. good luck with everything Andy!

    not wangs but thighs is what we had on hand, cut into smaller pieces and fried using CR`s batter recipe.  it came out very crispy. my wife usually does egg wash and then panko bread crumbs which comes out good also but not as crispy.    :cheers:

    have these plants been outside in direct sun for a while? or were they just moved from inside to outside? i also agree that its possible they were overwatered.
