    plant CAP 212 Identification Needed

Unfortunately I just put two and two together and realize who you are or I would not have tried to help. You are the guy who defended the Brazilian Syndicate then tried to sell off the seeds you got robbed on to unsuspecting members of the pepper community. You have C.chacoense identified...

    plant CAP 212 Identification Needed

The photo of the plant with white flowers and striated berries is not a pure C.chacoence. That species has yellow anthers and 10 appendages on the calyces. There appears to be C.annuum var. glabriusculum genes in the mix there. The one with the spotted flower could be a hybrid. The fruits...

I'll have to go into the garage and look at some tonight if I can. Currently 22F -5C at night this week. Everything is dead except for a few lucky Solanaceae.

scovilles Is SHU scale logoritmic or linear? Experts, please....

Sounds like a shit salesman with a mouthful of samples in every video I have seen. All of the pepper darlings, sycophants and important folks in this hobby/industry are the same to be honest. Lie or turn a blind eye to profit, gain status or get seeds. Guinness doesn't give one fraction of a shit...

@ChilliCrosser Heavy biomass in the lowlands and plants dwindled at higher elevations. At 3100 m and above a random plant or two would pop up. Fits the narrative of them accepting more heat and sunlight than other species from that Clade

    annuum Pepper size (rellenos)

Have you tried Poblanos? My favorite pepper for them. There are some that grow hotter if that is what you are looking for. I make them out of Rocotos, too but it's not easy to get them to grow as big as they do in the Andes.

    flavor Sugar Rush flavor?

I could not disagree more. To dupe the public for profit by not telling the genesis and by using phrases like "after years of breeding projects" is not acceptable and shouldn't be despite who likes new stuff. There are plenty of great things that come from unintentional hybrids. Often times...

@ChilliCrosser This is a section of a 30m swath of C.rhomboideum seedlings. Here is a 3m specimen taken over by what appears to be a species of Ipomoea. This version has a viny habit with cascading branches. It's less prolific, has different shaped leaves than the standard and often times a...

@ChilliCrosser that is a good mindset to have. I cut my teeth on forums where it is community first so sometimes I get caught up in stuff I should leave alone. I have never seen the Venezuelan version of C.rhomboideum in the wild. I think that is what we all are growing if I am not mistaken...

I agree on malnourishment. Not all plants are the same, even seeds from the same berry.

You would have zero chance of growing any Peruvian species in Chiapas without some type of indoor setup where you could adjust humidity and temperatures to exact numbers. The Mexican species are easier to grow than grass though. I'd focus on Areca if I were you.:fireball:
