    Could use some diagnostic help...

That really is the crux of the matter, for me.  As someone who is naturally curious, I'm never content to not know...  I can stop learning when I'm dead. :)

Where is the Hot Button Topics forum?

With the exception of Reggie - always the straight shooter, that guy.  :D

I know!  It was great!  Perfect for those of us who are a little off, anyway...

Where is the Hot Button Topics forum?

Dang, that's a bummer.  Given the nature of the beast, I thought that we were all pretty well behaved. (I suppose we don't see all the things that you do, though)

    I am getting fat.

It's funny, because I got a bit tubby while I was living in the city, and walking everywhere I went.  Damn I got strong legs.  I came back home, have been working a lot, eating worse, and doing basic fuck-all, and have already dropped 10 lbs. . The moral of the story - Florida is awesome.

Where is the Hot Button Topics forum?

It's not like it was very active - but it was certainly nice to have a space where those of us who don't require the white glove treatment, could feel a little more at home... . Sure seemed like it was a better solution than having it spill into the "regular" forums.

    Could use some diagnostic help...

Makes sense.  In all honesty, you'd probably have to wait for new growth.  I'm not guessing those leaves are gonna uncurl.  Curling of any kind, can often  (usually?) be attributed to some sort of damage/deformity at the cellular level.    I'm honestly running out of ideas, but I really do want...

    Could use some diagnostic help...

In the absence of any replies to that comment, can I suggest that you maybe stop spraying directly onto the leaves for a bit?  I know that we're grasping at straws here, but we're kind of in that territory, anyway, right?   If you need humidity, suggest closing off the space, and adding a bowl...

I don't typically spray directly onto leaves of pepper plants. . Anyone?

    A few questions about growing..

I put them in the freebie throw away trays that small square nursery pots come in!  I put those trays inside of a drywall mixing tub.

    A few questions about growing..

Remember, you are dealing with people who make money from growing IN YOUR AREA.  As long as they even have a partial clue, that opinion should trump this internet rando. :D

    A few questions about growing..

The fact that they actually acknowledged that there is a difference between open and closed bottom beds, is reason enough for me to believe that you should take their advice, as given.

    A few questions about growing..

My opinion is that it's insane for a hobby grower.  Peppers are just too easy, and too forgiving, to bother with all that.  Unless you are an actual scientist, and have a super short growing season, it's not worth the hassle.  IMO, of course. . Nutrients are given far too much air time in...

    trouble shooting ghost

I don't think sterility was the right term, even in the worst case (I was just making a point badly).  Your plant is not sterile.  But what it may be, is pollen deficient. For any number of reasons.  I would first have a see about the humidity.  It could be just that simple. . No need to feel...

    trouble shooting ghost

Unless your plant is sterile (not making pollen), then it's completely coincidental. Forget that other pollen. You're introducing extra (and unnecessary) variables.  If your plant can fertilize with external pollination, then it can do it on its own.  Or else it has no pollen.  How about we...

    trouble shooting ghost

That's a really odd growth habit for a ghost.  The stems are fat, and the leaves are narrow, with short node spacing. . Tell us about your lighting.  And then your feeding.  Temp, humidity, etc.

    trouble shooting ghost

I can only imagine the problems that one would have in trying to shoot ghosts. . So, the problem with not seeing pics, is that it's hard to know if we should be picturing a laboratory grade specimen, with bland pods, or if it looks like it grew out from between the cracks in the sidewalk. ...

    A few questions about growing..

But to answer your question -- just simple irrigation, plumbed out of either a sprinkler system, or hooked to a spigot on a timer, with funny pipe.  Micro drips, sprays, whatever you like.  Anything goes.  You can even run standing risers with PVC.  Just anything.

    A few questions about growing..

I would have made them longer, but I have some very rare and expensive plumerias in that space.  I don't want to move them.  But yes.  Longer is better.  Less space consumed by partitions and walk space.  In the one long planter, I kept a plumeria, and put some terra cotta drainage tubes...
