I doubt runoff is a very accurate indicator of pH anyhow.
What water did you use to test the runoff?
Why do you think it's a pH problem? Yellowing can be a host of things including over-watering and under-watering.
I don't use ACT's anymore but never had any problems when I did.

Interesting. Certainly not around here but CA has a diverse population of critters from the Oregon border down to the border of Mexico. I would imagine those would be down south.

Yes this is the Bocking cultivar I bought from Coe's Comfrey in NC.
I would never plant native comfrey as its too prolific and will take over the area it's planted in.
It was 93.4 at my house yesterday and hit 106 in Livermore which is about 20 miles or so inland. Supposed to be a couple of degrees hotter today. :(
The worst part is most of us do not have A/C in this area so it's miserable.
